Off to the Pool!

We had a very fun day at camp today. It rained overnight last night but had cleared by morning so we were able to have our morning skills (riding, horse science, downhill) as usual but the high humidity meant we were all quite sticky by lunch time. We played some mounted games in the afternoon, so everyone got a chance to ride again, and we also tried to cool down by playing water games and some other low-key group games. We reminded everyone to drink lots of water to replenish. This evening, we're going to head down to the Mazomanie pool - this way we can give the horses a break and refresh ourselves, as well! The announcement that we'd be going to the pool tonight got a BIG cheer at dinner!

The trails were a little wet today from last night's rain, but we're hoping that they'll be dry enough for trail rides tomorrow!
