Well, First Session of camp has come and gone - and so fast, too! We've had some amazing girls come and join us at camp! We've done all kinds of great horse stuff, like trails, pony painting, mounted games and more! We've had great fun downhill, too, with Capture the Flag, Under Seige, Camper Counselor Hunt and a whole mess of games and crafts! These past four weeks wouldn't have been possible without the help of our fabulous RITs! Our Riding Instructors in Training have been here since the start of summer, and just finished up their 4 week session. Some of them will be back next year, and some of them fully completed their 2 year program! They did such amazing work with all the campers and horses, and we would like to say a big thank you to each of them! So, to Laina, Morgan, Hannah, Jane, Shalla, Melissa, Abbie & Becca - Thank you! We will miss you! Have a great summer! This is Good Night and not Goodbye!
What a beautiful night tonight! We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and go bareback riding! The girls had a great time getting to know their horses so much better without a saddle, as well as improving their horsemanship skills! They all looked great and had so much fun!!
Today we had a Safari theme! Wooo! The girls headed out on a safari trail to find all the exotic animals hiding out in the woods! We also had some nature adventures and made dirt-cups; with chocolate and cookies, om nom nom!
In the evening, the girls had a ton of fun at different stations! We had interpretive dancing, pony painting, face painting and more! The girls looked great and had a wonderful time! I think we have some future adventurers in camp this week!

Well our first full day of the week at Hoofbeat is coming to a close! The girls have had a spectacular day, getting to ride in the morning and the afternoon, and making great friends along the way! They started with their morning skills, so an hour of horse science, an hour of riding and an hour of either Arts & Crafts, Comic Strip or Let's Get Moving! This afternoon we had an eventing day, so we had a dressage test and we did some show grooming! The girls loved it! This evening, we had some cabin adventures!
