First Monday of Second Session

What a fun start to second session! We had a little bit of a wet check-in, but the rain cleared by evening, so the cabins played some "get to know you" games and also went to the barn for a tour and safety review. This morning, each girl got her morning schedule this week - every morning, each camper follows a set schedule of a riding lesson, unmounted horse care class, and non-riding "down the hill" class. We call these classes "Morning Skills." The downhill class choices for this week are Arts and Crafts, Nature and Skill Surprise - something different every day!

Everyone had fun riding in lessons this morning, and this afternoon we went back to the barn to play some mounted games, such as relay races and "Red Light, Green Light." Everyone also got a chance to learn about Hoofbeat's different horses and make some decorations for their bunks.

Here are some pictures from last night and today. For a larger view of any picture, just click on it!
