We had another warm day today! It rained (again) overnight, so we woke up to wet rings and high humidity. After evaluating the footing in the rings, we decided to alter our morning schedule slightly - each camper got a chance to ride with her riding group, but we moved and shortened classes slightly to utilize our indoor riding arena and one of our more dry outdoor arenas.
The day stayed warm and humid, but by afternoon, the rings had dried enough to be used. The riding classes got together for some "free riding" time where they worked with their instructor to decide how they wanted to spend their riding time. Some popular options included mounted games and horse swap - letting riders try a variety of different horses. The humidity made the afternoon seem quite warm, so when they weren't riding, the girls got to do some barn choice activities like cleaning tack or "Celebrity Horse". They also had some time to relax away from the barn and make friendship bracelets or play circle games - and refuel with pretzels and lots of water!
Here are some pictures from this afternoon. To see a larger view of any picture, just click on it!
