Bareback and Oregon Trail!

We had a beautiful day on Tuesday! We had our usual riding lessons in the morning, and then did some bareback riding in the afternoon. Everyone got to choose what activity they wanted to do when they weren't riding. After dinner, we played a game of Capture the Flag, which was briefly paused to allow a rain shower to pass through, and then we resumed and had a ton of fun!

Today, we had our normal morning riding lessons and then at lunch discovered that the rest of the day would have an "Oregon Trail" theme. Obviously, this involved going on trail rides! Exploring Hoofbeat's miles of trails was fun for everyone. When we weren't riding in the afternoon and evening, we did a variety of other Oregon Trail activities, including "loading the wagon", "driving the oxen" (the part of the oxen was played by our pony, Minnie Mouse), roasting marshmallows around a fire, and playing some other games. It was a very fun day, and the weather was beautiful! Here are a few pictures from our day:
