Wrapping up Week 10!
Somehow we've reached the end of the summer already! We had a FABULOUS final week and really enjoyed the past couple of days. On Thursday we had the normal riding lesson and then learned about Equestrian Olympic sports! For the craft, we made picture frames and horse collages. Thursday afternoon campers rode the lesson plan they had planned out on Wednesday, played "Hoofbeat Bingo," and "adopted a horse". "Adopting a horse" meant each group adopted Mocha, Gandalf, or Pirate and made stall decorations for them! The themes were amazing!
Today we learned about horse genetics and got to see a very complicated Hoofbeat horse family tree, had a typical riding lesson, and made wooden horseshoe wind chimes! The afternoon was filled with fun, relaxing activities. We went on a hayride, had a campfire and a s'more, and visited our camp store! The final ride of the week was a bareback ride! Some horses were more comfortable without a saddle than others, but we had a great time. Thank you all for a great week!
