We had an absolutley fantastic day here at Hoofbeat Ridge! We did our riding classes in the morning, but it got pretty hot pretty fast, so we decided to give the horses and campers a break in the afternoon! We celebrated 4th of July in air conditioning - woo! We did some 'Patriotic Crafts', some 'Freedom Fun & Games' and some 'Liberty Tie Dye'! The girls had a grand time making red, white and blue crafts, like noise makers and windsocks! And creating their fabulous tie dye attire! We even did some awesome facepainting - I hear there were a few tigers prowling around on camp!
We had a great dinner courtesy Ted, the camp director, and Molly, one of our cooks! Yummy chicken and corn!! We then packed up and headed to the pool in Blue Mounds! The girls loved jumping into the deep end, swimming around underwater and just cooling off! We ended the night by having a little trip to Bringham Park to watch the sunset - so pretty! The girls were in awe of the wonderful site, and were so happy they were singing classic camp songs on the bus home - I even think a bit of One Direction slipped in there, too! We have some great singers here at Hoofbeat! :)
Thanks for checking in! Happy 4th of July!
