Two of our campers, Kristina and Bella, wrote a wonderful fairy tale about some of our Hoofbeat Horses that we would love to share! Enjoy!
Once upon a time in Hoofbeat.
Once upon a time, in a magical
valley, lay a Kingdom named Hoofbeat. Here everyone helps one another and
everyone is at peace. When not working, you'll find them galloping through the
lush fields.
At the highest point of the Kingdom
stood a stoic castle, where the royal family watched over their herd. The three
sons of Queen Tinkerbell - Prince, Tigger, Prince Peter Pan and Prince Scout -
were the pride and joy of the Hoofbeat herd. The valiant Peter pan was set to
be King; The trusty Tigger as set to lead the knights; the clever and cunning
Scout was to become the King's advisor.
But there was another royal child,
a mischievous little mare named Tally Ho. She was not so willing to accept her
fate…
Princess Tally was set to marry The Prince, from the far kingdom of Air
Stripia. Once married, she would be shipped off to the flat kingdom, where she
would be unable to see her beloved her. Her only chance was to find true love
before the first snowfall.
The problem was that Princess Tally
never really felt like a princess. She
always wanted to go galloping through the woods with her brothers, but she had
to stay behind to stay clean and proper. This didn’t stop her from sneaking out
on the odd occasion and getting scolded upon return by her mother.
But one day, as she followed her
brothers deep into the woods, her life would change forever…
Ahead of Tally, he three older
brothers bickered about who would become the most powerful in the Hoofbeat
Kingdom. Prince Peter Pan argued that as king he would be the most powerful,
however, sneaky Prince Scout declared that the advisor held the real power.
Prince Tigger stated that as leader of the knights, he would hold the most
power between the three. Princess Tally snorted in disbelief at her brothers'
argument, not wondering their importance.
Suddenly, the sky grew dark, and an
eerie mist crept into the woods, almost blocking Tally's view of her brothers.
From the mist rose a large dark figure, his coat a shiny chestnut color. As
Tally watched, the mysterious horse rounded up the three princes, declaring
that He, the great Nameless, would be
king. Helpless to do anything, Tally watched as Nameless stole her brothers
away, his malicious laughter fading into the unclear woods.
As Tally walked and walked, she
shouted for her brothers, but heard nothing. She cantered, following them,
wondering what she could do to save them. She thought about how she could prove
to her mother that she could be a Queen without a King. Then, all of a sudden,
a mule stepped out in front of her. His name was Taco. She decided that he
could walk along with her to keep her company because he liked telling jokes.
Meanwhile, Nameless secretly was turning
Tally's brothers into his evil army. Nobody knew, but Nameless was cursed from
a while ago by an evil witch.
Tally Ho and Taco had eventually
found where her brothers had been taken. She wondered how she could save her
brothers. Taco suggested her trying to use love to break the magic turning her
brothers bad. Also, she had realized that Nameless was also cursed.
"Tigger, Scout, Peter Pan! I
love you guys! I love how we played in the mud together and how we would sneak
off at night! And even though you guys annoy me, I love you!" she shouted.
"Also, Nameless, I know someone loves you out there, and you should be happy!" Eventually, the curse faded, and Nameless was revealed to be a white horse named Sterling.
"Also, Nameless, I know someone loves you out there, and you should be happy!" Eventually, the curse faded, and Nameless was revealed to be a white horse named Sterling.
1 month later
Tally and Sterling fell in love and
got married, but were not King and Queen. Queen Tinkerbell was happy, and the
three brothers agreed they would all be equals. As for Taco, he joined the
Hoofbeat herd, and kept making jokes.
The End!
