Horse Owners' Day

Spring has sprung here at Hoofbeat. On March 24th we had a Horse Owners’ Day program. This day was designed to give the girls a chance to see what it is like to own a horse. Upon arrival we played some ice breakers before heading up to the barn, once at the barn it was time to groom and tack the horses before riding. We spent some time doing a regular lesson before doing a little bareback riding. When the girls weren’t riding they had to opportunity to do some additional grooming, clean their horses tack or do other barn tasks. After lunch it was back up to the barn for some mounted games and drill team patterns. We would like to thank everyone who came out for this fun day! Also as a reminder Hoofbeat offers many summer camps both as resident and day programs. Please check out the website www.hoofbeat.org or call 608-767-2593 for more information. As summer approaches we look forward to seeing you!
