Hello from
Hoofbeat!
We hope that you
and your family are doing well.
We are busy gearing
up for spring programs at camp and also for summer!
There have been a
couple of UW groups that have had retreats with us the last couple of months -
we enjoy hosting them!
In March, we'll
have two Wilderness First Responder Clinics here. Those always keep us busy as
we provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for them. Our barn cat (Whoopi) likes
to come down to the lower part of camp to see if she can get anyone to pet her
whenever we have groups in. This time of year she gets lonely since there are
so few people around!
In April and May we
have several Girl Scout programs and Saturday camps that we're running.
Everything has filled up, so we are getting schedules ready , arts and projects
set up, and looking forward to seeing campers and staff back at camp again!
Day Camp starts
back up in June, which will be here before we know it. All of the sessions are
full (they filled within a week of us opening registration this year, which has
never happened before). A BIG thank you to all of our loyal campers/ families
and we look forward to seeing new faces too.
We have lots of returning
staff this summer and a few new staff/former campers that have been hired also.
We'll be posting staff bios on our camp Facebook page and the blog, so be on
the lookout for those!
The horses are all
doing well and are even starting to shed their winter coats. Every now and then
we let them out in their pastures so they can get some exercise. Usually they
run around and play for a while before they stop to see if there's anything
they can munch on.
Well, that's all
for now. Take care!
