Christmas Camp 2014!

The year is almost over and we are thrilled to be spending it here at camp. So far the girls have done lots of riding, horse science and arts and crafts. We have gone on an elf hunt and had a cabin charade contest. Even without the snow the girls have had a blast. Yesterday we went to the indoor water park, which was a nice way to mix things up. Everyone enjoyed playing in the water and then grabbing some treats from the sweet shop. Today we will be getting ready for our Frozen themed New Years party. We will be decorating lower long branch and then having an indoor sock snowball fight. Afterwards we'll enjoy some special treats before watching the movie and counting down to midnight.

Hello from Hoofbeat!
Well, it's finally gotten colder now. All we need is some snow and it will feel like December!
We had the horses in the barn for a couple of days last week because of the rainy weather. They were pretty excited to get get back to their pastures, when the time came. Double Stuff and Princess Buttercup ran around and bucked until the older mares convinced them to settle down!
It's hard to believe that Christmas is next week and Christmas Camp will be starting soon. The staff are busy working on some fun arts and crafts projects and ideas for our annual New Year's Eve party.

Mother & Daughter Riding Weekends

One of our favorite parts of fall and spring is welcoming out wonderful mothers and daughters for our special weekend programs. These past two weekends were filled with smiles, laughter, and some awesome riding time. For our mother & daughter programs we always do lots of riding as well as horse science and arts and crafts. We also will utilize some of our horses to learn how to ground drive. Here are a few pictures from this last weekend and as always thank you for joining us up on the ridge!

Horse Lover's Weekend

This past weekend we welcomed a great group of girls into camp for a fun filled weekend with horses. We had the opportunity to do some riding, both bareback and with tack, as well as have some fun horse science lessons and arts and crafts. Friday night we had a campfire and some time to get to know each other. Saturday was filled with barn fun and then a movie night. Sunday was more riding and then getting ready to go home.
