Wrapping up Week 5!

Wrapping up Week 5!

Happy Friday! How are we halfway through the summer already?! We have had an amazing week at camp! On Thursday, campers got the chance to tie-dye in Arts and Crafts. In Skill Surprise, campers got to hold a Sand Boa named Carhartt, a bearded dragon named Hawk, and played with chickens and ducks! In Sports, campers took a walk to our stargazing tower and got the chance to try and identify different birds and trees around camp! Up at the barn, campers had their riding lesson as usual, continuing to work on steering and spacing! They also learned about different horse sports like dressage, jumping, and the Kentucky Derby! In Horse Fun, the morning groups got to ground drive CJ. To give him a break, the afternoon groups got to

On Friday, campers made Zentangles, cuddled with some bunnies, and got to see the ducks and chickens again, and got to visit our camp store! Up at the barn, everyone had a final riding lesson where many groups played mounted games and relay races! In Horse Science, they learned about horse communication and behavior. In Horse Fun, the morning groups got to have their choice of barn chores. The afternoon groups were unable to ground drive due to rain, but they got to spend one-on-one time with some horses, grooming them! We are so glad everyone had a fun week, and we hope to see you again soon!!

**This is a long blog post! If you are looking for mounted photos, those are mostly in the second half of this post. The first half is mostly photos of the campers with the small animals! Enjoy!!
