Welcome to Week 5!
Hello! We are off to a great start today! We loved getting to meet everyone and learn a little about each camper playing a variety of get-to-know-you games in Sports! In Arts & Crafts, we make toilet paper roll monsters for Wacky Week. For Skill Surprise, which is focused on small animals, we got to meet our two Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Pip and Pop. They loved the attention today!
Up at the barn, everyone got to have their first riding lessons. Today we learned about the 5 safety "S"; Starting, Stopping, Steering, Spacing, and Squirreling. Everyone did so well for their first day! In Horse Science, campers got a tour of the barn and then learned how to properly groom and saddle a horse, as well as reviewed safety around horses. Horse Fun was playing horse board games and filling out "Horse Superlatives." Tomorrow, campers will get to make awards for which horses won each category!!
