Welcome to Week 1!
Hi everyone! We had a fabulous first week of camp! It is so nice to see the ridge full of smiling campers again. This week, we learned about safety, saddling, and grooming, and proper hoof (horse foot) care in Horse Science. In Horse Fun, we went on a scavenger hunt around the barn and learned how to lasso! We even got to lasso a fake cow and horse!! Down the hill, we made silhouette sunset crafts and paper lava lamps, following our "Neon" theme as closely as possible. In Skill Surprise, we saw the goats, made some camouflage butterflies and went on a color hunt around camp! Campers found so many colorful items. In Sports, we got to know our group by playing some ice breaker and group games, and then got to visit the camp store!! During riding, campers got to practice their steering and spacing with some cone weaving, playing "The Post Game," and getting to trot with our horses!
