Wrapping up Week 4!

Happy Thursday! We had a great last two days of Week 5! On Wednesday, campers played a game called "Party Quirks" in Sports, created their own Rice Maps in Skill Surprise, and Tie-Dyed in Arts and Crafts! Up at the barn, campers learned about the Farrier and Hoof Care. In Horse Fun, half of the groups made horse treats, which were thoroughly enjoyed, and the other half were given a barn choice. Many chose to help get the barn all set for the next day! In Riding, campers continued to work on their steering at both the walk and the trot!

Wednesday Afternoon was open for more activities due to the extreme heat and fitting all normal plans into the morning! Campers rotated between horse bathing, water games, Minute-to-Win-It games, creating decorations for the Camp Carnival, and finishing up their special spinner crafts! Despite it being hot, we had a fun-filled afternoon!

On Thursday, we had another heat schedule, so all regular activities took place in the morning. In Arts and Crafts, campers designed their own fans to keep cool. In Skill Surprise, we played a fun game called Taboo!! Campers got to visit the camp store in Sports! Up at the barn, those who previously made horse treats had barn choice, and vice versa. In Horse Science, we learned about the different types of bits horses might use, and what their uses are often for. In Riding, campers got to show off all of the improvements they had made throughout the week! It is always so much fun to see everyone grow more and more confident!! 

In the afternoon, everyone attended the 4th of July Carnival!! We decked out our dining hall with decorations and common carnival games. We had Pin the Tail on Ginger, Ping Pong Toss, Musical Chairs, Corn Hole, Target Golf, and more! Campers won tickets, and were able to "purchase" various prizes!! This is always one of our favorite activities all summer, and we are so happy each of you were there to experience it! Thanks for making the carnival fun, and for such an amazing week!! Happy 4th!
