Keeping up with Week 7!
Happy Friday! Things are going great here this week! On Wednesday in Skill Surprise, we mixed up flour and salt to create our own Salt Dough Creations! Everyone had the chance to sculpt it into different shapes, many of which were sea creatures! In Sports, campers played a game called Ships and Sailors! In Arts and Crafts, we made Surf Shop Signs! Many were designated to Hoofbeat horses! Up at the barn, we learned about the different diseases and parasites horses can get, and then got to practice our lassoing! We have some future cowgirls on our hands! In Riding, campers continued to work on their steering and spacing at both the walk and the trot.
On Thursday, campers learned about how to buy a horse and the important things to consider when doing so. In Horse Fun, everyone got to make an advertisement for their favorite horse. During riding, campers showed so much improvement with their steering! They worked more on their skills at the trot today! Down the hill in Sports, we played Toxic River! In Arts and Crafts, campers got to do a camp classic: tie-dye! The designs look amazing. In Skill Surprise, campers got to paint their salt dough creations!
Today, we made paper bowl jellyfish in Arts and Crafts! In Skill Surprise, campers visited the camp store and played a cool biome game! In the morning Sports they played Crab Soccer, and when it heated up in the afternoon, we played water games! Up at the barn, campers learned about different breeds, colors and markings horses might have! Campers got to see those on the Hoofbeat horses too! In Horse Fun, everyone went on a scavenger hunt around the barn! Some pictures from that are posted below! Everyone's riding lessons went so well for the final day of camp. Groups got to show off all of their improvements by doing relay races.
