Wrapping up Week 8!

 Wrapping up Week 8!

Happy Friday! We had such a fabulous week here! It's hard to believe the summer is almost over!

On Wednesday, we made constellation viewers in arts and crafts. In Sports, we played martian tag! In Skill surprise we got to hangout with bunnies and chickens!! They were so cute and fluffy. Up at the barn, campers learned how to line dance! In horse science, they learned about pregnancy and foaling! 

On Thursday, horse fun was barn management where campers got to help out with taking care of our horses and the barn! In Horse Science, they learned about senses, communication and behavior of horses. Some groups got to watch our horses interact to learn this! Down the hill, campers played water games in sports to cool off, visit our camp store in Skill Surprise, and tie-dyed in arts and crafts! We also got to see our two goats, Pip and Pop during Skill Surprise.

Friday, we learned about horse first aid and lameness (sore feet) in Horse Science. In Horse Fun, everyone got to play a variety of horse themed board games! Hoofbeat Guess Who was a camper favorite! In arts and crafts, campers made rice map planets! Everyone was quite creative! In Skill Surprise, we played a variety of Jeopardy games focused mainly on goats and Hoofbeat! In Sports, to stay in from the rain, we played Giant Spoons!

Everyone's riding lessons were so much fun this week! Campers worked on their steering, spacing, and overall riding ability at the walk and the trot. Groups played relay races to show off their skills and to have some friendly competition. It was so much fun to see everyone improve throughout the week. Thanks for spending your last week with us!
