Welcome to Week 7!
Happy Tuesday! We have been having an excellent week so far. In our down hill rotations, we have played ice breaker games and Captain May I Cross Your Ship in sports. In Skill Surprise, we designed our own sea animal bingo sheets and then got to play, and also played a fun game called, "Sandcastle Races." It was a fun beachy spin on cup stacking! In Arts and Crafts, campers made paper plate turtles and "Spongebob/Hoofbeat crayon paintings."
Up at the barn, campers learned about Safety, Saddling and Grooming, and today, went over parts of the horse and parts of tack. In their Horse Fun rotations, campers got to groom our two miniature horses, Luna and Junebug on Monday, and today they had tack races! In everyone's riding lessons, campers learned about Hoofbeat's 5s, Starting, Stopping, Steering, Spacing, and Squirreling (dismounting). During their lessons on Monday and Tuesday, campers practiced their steering and spacing at the walk and the trot. We are excited for the rest of the week!
