Wrapping up Week 6!

 Wrapping up Week 6!

We had a great week! On Thursday, campers got to tie-dye, something everyone looks forward to. They also got to pull out their musical skills by half of the group playing simple songs on the bells and the other half trying to guess which songs they were. Everyone did great! In Sports, they got to play variations of tag. Up at the barn, campers had their riding lessons as usual, continuing to work on their steering at the walk and the trot. They learned about pregnancy and foaling in Horse Science and got to see Hoofbeat's foal, Merrylegs. She loved all of the attention! In Horse Fun, campers groomed the Mini ponies and then led them in a personalized pattern to show off their beautiful looks!

On Friday, we made Pan Flutes and Harmonicas in Arts and Crafts! In Skill Surprise, we made Hoofbeat Memory Pages to remember what a fun week we all had. In Sports, campers visited the camp store and played a fun game called "Party Quirks." One camper is the 'host' of a dinner party, and the others each have a different quirk, like "turning into a robot," or "is an Olympian." The host has to try and guess each camper's quirk! Up at the barn, campers learned about barn/stable management as well as how to buy a horse. In Horse Fun, they got to design their own Western Show Outfits and practice a barrel racing pattern. Riding lessons included mounted games today, where campers got to continue working on steering at the trot! We had a blast with everyone this week, and we hope to see you again!
