Week 6 Update
Happy Wednesday! Today, we experienced some rain and storms at camp. We adjusted our riding program and had all campers out of the barn and in safe locations by 12:30 today before the storms arrived. We appreciated everyone's patience and cooperation as the staff worked to keep everyone safe.
Even though our activities at the barn were canceled, we continued to have a great time indoors. Groups rotated between playing board games, making horse name key-chains and bracelets, and doing some cool wooden crafts. Groups also had the chance to look at Hoofbeat memory books of horses past and present. Prior to the bad weather, groups got to make friendship bracelets, try to make a boat out of aluminum foil and have it withstand pennies, and play some soccer! At the barn, campers learned about different diseases and parasites, as well as got to design their own barns. Some of them had the barn attached to their bedrooms!
We had a great day, despite the uncertainty of the weather. We are hoping for good weather the rest of the week, and cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow! Some of these photos are from Monday and Tuesday's activities. Check back on Friday for more photos!
