Week 8!

Week 8!

Happy Monday! We had a great first day today. We ran an adjusted schedule due to the heat and wrapped up a normal day's activities before the hottest part of the day. In the morning, we made paper plate jellyfish, played sea animal bingo, and got to know the members of our group with ice breaker games!! Up at the barn, campers had their usual riding lesson, learning about Hoofbeat's 5s's: Starting, Stopping, Steering, Spacing, and Squirreling. We will be working on these all week. Campers also learned about how to properly groom and saddle a horse, as well as the safety around the barn and horses. In Horse Fun, we groomed Luna and Junebug, the mini horses. To keep things cooler in the afternoon, we played water games, bathed some horses to cool them down, and came up with group skits that were Under the Sea themed! Despite the heat, we had a great day, and we appreciated everyone's flexibility today! Keep checking for more photos this week!
