Wrapping up Week 4!
Happy Thursday! We have had quite the week! On Wednesday, everyone enjoyed riding, learning about the farrier and hoof care, and some groups made stall tags while others got to deck out our horses with flowers and hair chalk. Thursday, groups switched and did whichever activity they had not done on Wednesday. The horses look beautiful, and are all ready for the 4th! Campers also learned about horse sports like eventing and barrel racing. It was such a fun week at the barn! Thursday afternoon was quite hot, so we gave our horses a chance to cool off by riding bareback. This is when there is no saddle between the rider and the horse's back!
Down the hill, on Wednesday, campers got to tie-dye, play water games to cool off, and play some U.S.A. Trivia to get us all set for the 4th of July!! Everyone knows so much about U.S. history, Hoofbeat history, and American horse breeds. Thursday was a very special day at camp. We had our annual 4th of July Carnival! Campers had the chance to play all sorts of carnival games like "Pin-the-tail on Chloe," Mini Golf and Ring-Toss. They earned tickets and then got to visit our prize booth to earn some cool prizes!! Campers also got to visit the camp store, something everyone looks forward to all week. It was an amazing week, despite being short, and we are so happy to have had each and every one of you here! We hope to see you soon!
