Week 8 Update!
We are halfway through the week already! We have been having so much fun this week! On Tuesday, we made salt dough in Skill Surprise. In Sports, we played water games to keep cool from the heat! In Arts and Crafts, campers had the choice of making paper crabs, octopi or mermaids! Up at the barn, we had our riding lessons as usual, practicing steering at the walk and trot! In Horse Science, we learned about the different breeds, colors and markings of horses. For Horse Fun, campers took apart bridles and raced to put them back together properly!!
Today was a rainy day, but we did not let that affect our day! Down the hill, campers painted their salt dough! They look amazing! In Sports, we played Epic Spoons where the spoons were hid around the Lodge! In Arts and Crafts, campers made paper bag mermaids. Up at the barn, we learned about horse senses and communication. Campers pretended to have a horse's vision by placing their hands in a triangle over their noses. This demonstrates where a horse's front blind spot is. In Horse Fun, we designed our own barns! Some had jumping barns, others created Western Barns. Once again, we all worked on our steering at the walk and trot. Many have been weaving the cones to practice steering! We can't wait for the next couple of days with you all!
