Welcome to Week 9!
We are so excited for another week here at Hoofbeat! Today started off great with some icebreakers in Sports to get to know our groups. In Skill Surprise, to match our theme of "Undercover," we played a game called "Crack the Code." Campers had to guess which pattern would allow them to cross the path. In Arts and Crafts, we made our own spy masks and completed some fun spy/detective word searches.
Up at the barn, campers got a barn tour, reviewed the barn rules, and learned how to groom and saddle a horse! They then applied these new skills in Horse Fun and had a grooming competition with some of our horses. They were all looking fabulous!! In everyone's riding lessons, we learned the 5s's: Starting, Stopping, Steering, Spacing, and Squirreling. We worked on our steering and spacing throughout the lesson and are excited to see everyone's progress this week!
