Wrapping up Week 8!

Wrapping up Week 8!

This week really flew by! We had a lot of fun these last two days. On Thursday, we tie-dyed in arts and crafts! In Sports, we played Ships and Sailors and Captain May I. In Skill Surprise, we hung out with some animal friends! There were chickens, ducks, bunnies, a turtle, two snakes and a bearded dragon!! Campers got to hold and pet the animals!! Up at the barn, campers learned about the different parts of the horse. In Horse Fun, we all took pictures with our favorite horses. In everyone's riding lessons, we continued working on steering at the trot!

Today was another great day! Down the hill, we visited our camp store and played group games in Sports. In Skill Surprise, campers got to see the two Hoofbeat goats, Pip and Pop! In Arts and Crafts, we made various paper flowers! Up at the barn, campers learned about how to properly manage a barn and what important things there are to have in a barn. In Horse Fun, we all learned how to lasso and got to practice lassoing fence posts. The campers really were getting the hang of it! For riding today, many groups played mounted games and did some mounted relay races. This is a fun activity that requires all of the skills they've been working on all week!
