Week 3 Update!
Hello, and happy Wednesday! How are we already halfway through the week? Time has been flying by with how much we have been up to. We have been "traveling through" different decades in some of our activities. In Arts & Crafts, we made flower crowns and some "music mix-tapes". In Skill Surprise, each group wrote and drew their own comic strips, and then got to learn about the different Biomes animals live in with a fun matching game. In sports, we played minute-to-win-it games, and boy, you all did well!! We also played Four Corners, Transformers, a game where the group creates an object using their own bodies, and Mafia! It was nice to get out of the rain with these indoor games. Some of our groups got to tie-dye today, and others were prevented by the rain. Don't worry, you will get the chance to tie-dye tomorrow!!
Up at the barn, we have been enjoying our riding time! We are learning how to steer, playing some games like "The Post Game," getting to weave the cones, and trotting! In Horse Science, we have learned about Stable Management and about Pregnancy and Foaling. Campers got the chance to see our three-month-old foal, Merrylegs. She is so cute! In Horse Fun, campers practiced their Western Riding skills and learned how to lasso! I think you all could catch a cow! Today, they got to go on a scavenger hunt all over the barn! We are so excited to see what the next two days bring us!
