Sunny Days on the Ridge!

Hello Everybody!

The girls have had a fantastic few days here at Hoofbeat, and we've been taking full advantage of the clear skies! Yesterday afternoon, we headed to the riding rings to do some cabin bareback riding! The girls loved getting to know the horses better without a saddle! They discovered how little pressure you need to steer and walk a horse! In the evening, the sun was shining and the girls went wild for capture the flag! We had purple vs. orange in an all-camp all-out game! Both teams won a round and the girls had a fabulous time!

Today, we had our pirate theme! Princess Marigold was stolen by the pirates and the girls had to work together to build boats and complete tasks to find and rescue her! The girls had a great time, especially when the princess was returned on horseback!

Hello Everybody! We had a great day at camp, and managed to get in a ton of horse activities! This morning we had a little bit of wet weather, so we stayed inside and had a blast! The girls took part in a minute-to-win-it activity, competing in challenges such as dropping a penny into a cup, throwing a paper plane into a pitcher and racing cups by blowing through a straw! We also dressed up with a Disney theme! We  had Brave, Mulan, 101 Dalmations, The Lion King, Aristocats and Snow White! We also played disney bingo and had fun with the critters!

In the afternoon it stopped raining so we headed to the barn! We were able to get our morning rotations done, however due to the outside rings being slippery the girls shared the indoor for their riding. In the evening we headed back up to the barn to do some barrel racing, grooming and a halter show! The girls had a wonderful day and went to bed smiling!
