Wrapping up Week 9

 Wrapping up Week 9!

It is hard to believe we only have one more week left of the summer! We had a fabulous week here for our second-to-last week! Our week has been nature-themed, so many of our activities have been on-theme! On Wednesday, campers played group games in Sports! A few groups had to head inside for rain, so they played Human Bingo! In Skill Surprise, campers played a "Web of Life" game. Groups built up a "Horse Pasture Ecosystem!" In Arts and Crafts, everyone painted a small jar. They all looked fabulous! Up at the barn, campers learned about the different gaits of horses in Horse Science. In Horse Fun, campers colored awards for the horse superlative winners! 

On Thursday in Horse Science, campers learned about the different types of bits horses can use. In Horse Fun, half the groups made horse treats and the other half helped out our barn director, Maddy, with getting the barn ready. Down the hill, campers tie-dyed in Arts and Crafts. In Sports, they played a friendly game of Capture the Flag, and in Skill Surprise, campers learned how to make different types of fires. At the end of that lesson, they got to roast a marshmallow! It was such a fun way to wrap up a cool activity.

Our final day of camp this week was a great day with amazing weather! Campers made survival guides in Arts and Crafts, putting together all of their knowledge from this week. In Skill Surprise, the older groups learned how to build a shelter, and the younger groups went for a hike to the stargazing tower! In Sports, everyone visited the camp store and played their favorite game from the week! Up at the barn, campers swapped Horse Fun activities, so half helped out our Barn Director, and the other half made horse treats! In Horse Science, everyone learned about different horse sports! It was so fun to watch all the different riding groups throughout the week! Everyone worked so hard and improved immensely. Campers worked on their skills each day at the walk and the trot. Today groups played relay races to show off the skills they have been working on! Thanks everyone for such an amazing week!
