March Camp Update

 Hi Everyone!

We hope you are doing well.

Things are great here at camp and we have been BUSY!!!

We have been working on some projects around camp, hosting some Wilderness First Responder Clinics, taking care of the horses, and getting ready for summer.

We had a small kitchenette put into the Lodge and think it turned out really nicely. Thanks to Brad for his work on it. We hope to rent out the Lodge for parties, groups, etc. more often and thought a small kitchen area would be nice to have.

We are just finishing up a Wilderness First Responder clinic and we've really enjoyed the group of students. Whoopi (our barn cat) did too - here are some pictures of her with the students. She wasn't shy about joining in! We also saw her sitting by the Lodge door, looking in and hoping someone would come out and pet her or better yet, let her in. She loves to be were people are!

The Northern Lights were visible at camp last night and thanks to some of the First Responder students for the amazing pictures!

Fall Horse Lover's Party!

 Hi Everyone!

We had a great time with our Horse Lover's Party this past Saturday - thanks to everyone that joined us! The weather was beautiful and we got some riding time, grooming, did a pumpkin hunt, went on hayrides, and had a costume contest. Even our pony, Stormy and one of our goats joined in! It was a busy day packed full of fun. Here are a few pictures.

Happy Fall!

Hello everyone!

We hope you are well! The horses have been getting lots of pasture time and are enjoying the grass.

We have been keeping busy with some painting projects, lots of mowing, taking care of the horses, and some Saturday camps. We also had a college group from the UW join us for a retreat - it had been a while since we'd hosted them, so it was nice to be able to have them out!

Thanks to all of the staff and campers that have joined us for our Saturday camps! We've been doing some fun arts and crafts projects, grooming the horses, getting to know the other campers and staff, playing group games,  and riding the horses of course!

Whoopi the barn cat isn't quite sure what to make of the lack of people in camp to give her attention. She likes to come down to the main part of camp and look in the windows until she finds anyone that might come out and pet her!

We have a couple of Girl Scout Horse Lover's Days this month, Kirby's Fall Fun Day, and our Fall Horse Lover's Party at the end of the month. We're staying busy!

The fall colors are beautiful this year - some of the best we've seen in several years, so we are enjoying them! The horses are starting to get shaggy coats - cooler weather must be on the way.

Well, take care and thanks for stopping by to catch up on happenings at camp!
