Gizmo's Christmas Party

We had lots of fun at Gizmo's Christmas Party! We had taken sledding off the schedule for the day, but it turned out that we got to go after all. Thanks to everyone for braving the snowy roads to make the trip out to camp!

One of the campers told their group leader, "This was the best Hoofbeat day ever!!". From what we saw, everyone seemed to have a great time. Here are some pictures from the day.

Fall Update!

Hello from Hoofbeat!

We wanted to do a little camp update!
We have been really busy here at camp taking care of the horses, upgrading the goat pen (we can't wait to get goats back in there), rebuilding fences, and getting ready for Gizmo's Christmas Party and the Christmas Mini Camp. We had a fun visit from Dragon Lightning and his Princess this Halloween, too cute!

The highlight of our fall was an afternoon visit by a local, wild red fox! Although we enjoyed seeing him, Whoopi (our barn cat) did not appreciate him taking over her hunt grounds! To our surprise, Whoopi actually chased him from Hillside riding ring up to the barn parking lot and then back down the hill! It was a sight to see, slightly concerning but Whoopi was a convincing predator.

It has been a mild fall so far! That is until this morning brought us a load of snow! The snow was beautiful falling in big flakes but it will be changing to rain this afternoon. The horses were excited to take turns rolling in the sandy indoor arena before happily tucking away into their stalls!

That's all for now! Take Care Everyone!

Linus wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

November 7th Riding Day

Hello!

We had a fabulous riding day on Saturday! The weather was just incredible! The day was filled with riding, pictures with horses, and barn choice. Many ponies got to have some hand grazing time! The horses enjoyed getting some exercise and attention. We loved seeing some of our dedicated resident campers back on the ridge too! Thanks to everyone who was able to join us!

Thanks for checking in!
