Week 1 - Tuesday & Wednesday!

It has been very busy these past few days here at camp! Below are some adorable pictures that we have captured, but make sure to check back later this week! Some pictures are not posted quite yet, so we have more pictures to come!

Daycamp 2020 has begun!

Hello everybody!

It has been pretty crazy here at Hoofbeat these past few weeks, and we are sure that your lives have been pretty different as well! While we were very bummed to close resident camp this summer due to safety concerns regarding COVID-19, we are ecstatic that we are able to run daycamp! Last week was staff training where our staff reviewed not only camp and safety procedures, but also the new practices that we put in place to keep our campers safe and healthy. We attached some pictures below from staff training, featuring a glamour photoshoot of our cat, Whoopi. 

Today was our first day of camp, and the horses were practically climbing out of their stalls with excitement that their friends have returned for another summer! The staff were also very happy to see many familiar faces and meet new ones as well! We will be posting pictures from camp this week, so stay tuned for updates!

Hi guys!

My name is Julia and I’m so very excited to come back to Hoofbeat for my 7th summer overall and first as a counselor! I live in Madison and am currently a junior at Madison West High School. Some of my favorite activities at camp are trail rides, teaching horse science, and snuggling with the wonderful Willow and Sgt.Pepper. Outside of Hoofbeat, I spend a lot of time with my lease pony, Wrangler. I also am in the pool a lot, teaching swim lessons and swimming competitively. I can’t wait to see everyone at camp this summer!!

Hi everyone! My name is Erika and I am so excited to come back to Hoofbeat for my 7th summer! I live in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin and I am currently a junior at Whitefish Bay High School. I can’t wait to hang out with my favorite Hoofbeat horse, Addie, enjoy delicious tacos, and play group games! Outside of school, I really love to horseback ride, hang out with friends, and downhill ski. I look forward to seeing you all in June!

Hey guys! My name is Lucy and I am very very very excited to come back to camp for my second year! I am from a property in Australia, and this year I am going to be the camp Barn Director. I am currently working as a lifeguard and farmhand in my home town, as well as studying sociology online. When I'm not working, I'm reading, riding or hanging out with my siblings and friends. I'm most excited to come back and eat delicious stir fry, hang out with Dante and Dobbin go on trail rides! I'll see you all soon :)

Hey all!

I’m Izzy and I am very excited for camp to start! This summer will be my eighth year at Hoofbeat but my first year as staff! I am from Madison and currently a sophomore at James Madison Memorial High School. When I’m not at school or riding I enjoy drawing, singing, playing with my dogs, and hanging out with friends. I love everything about camp, but I am most looking forward to theme nights, capture the flag, singing campfire songs, and spending some quality time with my favorite four-legged friend, Dante! Can’t wait to see everyone this summer!
