Mystery Trip & Trail Rides

Hello Everybody! We've had a fantastic few days here on the ridge! On Tuesday we headed out of camp for our Mystery Trip! We went to the Kalahari Resorts Water Park up in Wisconsin Dells! The girls had a blast swimming in the lazy river and going on the rides! Everyone loved our trip to the Sweet Hut, too!

On Wednesday, we took advantage of the nice weather and went on a trail ride! Everyone loved being able to ride their ponies through the lovely grounds surrounding Hoofbeat! Some went into the forest while others along the fields edge! Fantastic views were seen by all!

On Wednesday night we played the all-camp game 'Under Siege'! The game is like capture the flag but with 3 teams; Purple, Red and Yellow! The girls had a blast trying to capture the other teams' territories and win all the land for themselves!

Cabin Adventures

Hello Everybody!

Well our first full day of the week at Hoofbeat is coming to a close! The girls have had a spectacular day, getting to ride in the morning and the afternoon, and making great friends along the way! They started with their morning skills, so an hour of horse science, an hour of riding and an hour of either Arts & Crafts, Comic Strip or Let's Get Moving! This afternoon we had an eventing day, so we had a dressage test and we did some show grooming! The girls loved it! This evening, we had some cabin adventures! The cabin groups had secret envelopes full of instructions to help them bond more with each other! After that we played some group games like numbers and captain may I! It was a great day, hope you enjoy the photos!

Sunny Days on the Ridge!

Hello Everybody!

The girls have had a fantastic few days here at Hoofbeat, and we've been taking full advantage of the clear skies! Yesterday afternoon, we headed to the riding rings to do some cabin bareback riding! The girls loved getting to know the horses better without a saddle! They discovered how little pressure you need to steer and walk a horse! In the evening, the sun was shining and the girls went wild for capture the flag! We had purple vs. orange in an all-camp all-out game! Both teams won a round and the girls had a fabulous time!

Today, we had our pirate theme! Princess Marigold was stolen by the pirates and the girls had to work together to build boats and complete tasks to find and rescue her! The girls had a great time, especially when the princess was returned on horseback!
