Hello Everybody! We had a great day at camp, and managed to get in a ton of horse activities! This morning we had a little bit of wet weather, so we stayed inside and had a blast! The girls took part in a minute-to-win-it activity, competing in challenges such as dropping a penny into a cup, throwing a paper plane into a pitcher and racing cups by blowing through a straw! We also dressed up with a Disney theme! We had Brave, Mulan, 101 Dalmations, The Lion King, Aristocats and Snow White! We also played disney bingo and had fun with the critters!
In the afternoon it stopped raining so we headed to the barn! We were able to get our morning rotations done, however due to the outside rings being slippery the girls shared the indoor for their riding. In the evening we headed back up to the barn to do some barrel racing, grooming and a halter show! The girls had a wonderful day and went to bed smiling!

Happy at Hoofbeat
Hey all! The girls are having such a blast at camp so far! For the girls who stayed from last week, we had a surprise trip to the movie theater to see Monsters University! The girls were so excited!
On Sunday we said hello to our new camp friends with a 'Welcome to Hoofbeat' themed show! The audience loved the creative and funny skits that were performed! Today, we started our morning rotations, so the girls all had 1 hour of riding, 1 hour of horse science and 1 hour of either Nature, Arts & Crafts or Skill Surprise (a new thing every day!)
This afternoon the girls had a lovely 'Day at the Races'! We played some mounted games and relay races with our ponies, had a horse trivia relay race and made some amazing fascinators (those crazy hats the ladies wear to the races!) The girls had a blast, and made some fantastic hats!
This evening we had some group games, roasted some marshmallows while singing campfire songs, and ended the night with a huge game of Camper Counselor Hunt! The girls had to find 10 of our counselors that were hidden throughout camp! They had a great time running around finding their counselors under beds and in the goat pen!
