Wrapping up Week 6!

Wrapping up Week 6!

What a week we have had! Yesterday, we got to tie-dye, explored lower camp with a scavenger hunt, and learned how to make friendship bracelets/gimp. Up at the barn, we learned about horsemanship and different types of behavioral problems horses may struggle with. Horse fun consisted of "Hobby Horsing!" Each camper got to go over mini jumps, run around "barrels," or prance around on their "horses".

Friday was another fun-filled day! Down the hill, campers participated in Color Olympics and competed against the other groups. There was a game of camper/counselor hide and seek, and group relay races, and they ended it off playing horse board games and taking a trip to our camp trading post. The friendly competition didn't stop down the hill though, many riding groups got to do some horseback relays! Fast walking or slow, everyone had a blast! They learned about the different illnesses and diseases horses can have, and got to groom some of our horses! Thanks for such a great week:)
