March Camp Update!

 Hello from Hoofbeat Ridge!

We have been staying busy here at camp with some indoor projects and some outdoor ones too! There's always lots to do to stay busy here.

The horses are doing well (maybe a little shaggy and muddy, but it's that time of year). Here are a few pictures of some of them on a nice, sunny day!

We are gearing up for spring programs, which have filled up really fast this year! Our first one will be tomorrow and we look forward to having campers back again.
We have had a couple of weekends that our staff have been out to help clean stalls, tack, and tidy up the barn. They also spent time riding a bunch of the horses, since it's been several months since they have been ridden. We have let the horses out in their pastures and in the arena to run around and exercise. They are really goofy this time of year and they love to buck and play when we let them out.

Well, that's all for now. Enjoy the weekend! (and thanks to Jasmine for the photos of the horses!!)

Christmas Mini Camp

 Hello from Hoofbeat!

We've had a couple of fun days here at camp over Christmas break! This was the first time in a very long time that we have not been able to have our usual sleep over Christmas Camp, but we were glad to be able to offer two day camps.

On Tuesday, everyone enjoyed a couple of riding lessons, arts and crafts, sledding, pictures with our mini ponies, an elf hunt, and some time in the dining hall to roast marshmallows, and warming up with hot cocoa. Wednesday brought a bunch more snow, so campers enjoyed sledding, more riding time, horse care classes, pony time, and hot cocoa and s'mores in the dining hall. Whew! It was a busy two days and we want to thank everyone that joined us. Thank you to all of our amazing staff also!

Happy New Year and we look forward to more fun times at camp in 2021!!!!
